I’m a Certified Chinese teacher from Taiwan 🇹🇼 with a Master’s in Applied Linguistic and 8+ years of teaching experience in the classroom and online. I have 5+ years of teaching Chinese at universities in the United States to students around the world. I clearly understand what frustrates you when it comes to learning Chinese. Teaching Chinese language and culture is my career as well as my passion!

If you are a new students, you can book a 30-minute trial lesson firstly to let me know more about your learning needs and goals and to see if we are a good fit.
If you are my old students, you can select the lesson package whichever fit better your learning plan.

Step 2. Fill up the form and pay online
After selecting your lesson package, you’ll be directed to the lesson scheduling page to fill out a form and choose available time slots, then directed to the payment page to complete your online payment.

After filling up the form and completing the Paypal payment on the booking page, your first lesson is booked successfully🎉 You’ll receive a confirmation email with a class meeting link. Simply click the meeting link to join the lesson and get ready for the class!

How can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?
You can reschedule or cancel your lesson using the link in the confirmation email you received after booking. Please note that changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
What happens if I encounter issues rescheduling?
If you encounter any issues rescheduling, please notify me via email at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the session will be considered completed, with no rescheduling or refund. My email: masteringmandarinch@gmail.com
What is the Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy?
Please note all cancellations or changes of schedule have to be informed 24 hours in advance. You can reschedule or cancel lessons via the booking confirmation email. If you encounter any issues rescheduling or canceling on your own, please notify Mastering Mandarin by email at 📧 masteringmandarinch@gmail.com.
Changes made within 24 hours of the lesson will still be charged, as the reserved time slots cannot be filled on short notice. I appreciate your respect for our time together.
How do I schedule lessons after purchasing a lesson package?
After purchasing a lesson package, you will receive a confirmation email with a package code. Use this code when booking your lessons. Each session will be deducted from your package balance, so you won’t need to pay again.
Do lesson packages expire?
Yes. Lesson packages expire according to the time stated at purchase:
5-Session Mandarin Coaching Package – valid for 2 months (60 days) after purchase
10-Session Mandarin Coaching Package – valid for 4 months (120 days) after purchase
20-Session Mandarin Coaching Package – valid for 6 months (180 days) after purchase
You can also find the expiration date in your confirmation email. Please be sure to schedule your lessons before this date.
What platform do we use for lessons?
Lessons are conducted online via Zoom. The meeting link will be included in your booking confirmation email.
How far in advance can I schedule a lesson?
Lessons can be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Can I cancel a lesson at the last minute?
Please note all cancellations or changes of schedule have to be informed 24 hours in advance via booking confirmation email. Last-minute cancellations are non-refundable, as I cannot fill the slot on short notice. I appreciate you respect for our time together.
What if I am late, absent, or no-show from the class?
In case of lateness or no-shows, I will wait in the classroom for 15 minutes. If a student joins 15+ minutes late, leaves early, or does not attend, the full lesson fee will still apply.
What are the payment options for the lessons?
You can pay via: PayPal, debit card, and credit card. The booking page will automatically direct you to PayPal at checkout, where you can pay using your debit or credit card—even without a PayPal account.
How to view and manage my lessons after scheduling?
In your booking confirmation email, you’ll be able to see your lesson time, along with a reschedule button. You will also receive lesson reminder emails and texts 24 hours and 1 hours each before your lesson.
You can also create an account on the site to view and manage all your lessons and packages. Currently, the option to create an account appears only on the confirmation page immediately after scheduling a lesson.
Alternatively, you can create an account by clicking the “Change/Cancel Appointment” button in your confirmation email. This will direct you to the site, where you can sign up to create an account.
Do I have to buy textbooks for the lessons?
I provide PDF versions of all textbooks, as well as handouts and worksheets. You’re encouraged to purchase the textbooks if you prefer learning on paper, taking notes, or writing directly in the book.
How often should I take lessons?
It depends on your schedule and budget. Based on my experience with students: Once a week is great for steady progress. Take lessons twice a week if you’re planning to reach your goals faster.
